AIBR To skip a family gathering? Empty AIBR To skip a family gathering?

I'm thinking of skipping a family gathering to have some 'me time.' Is that selfish? With all the stress of daily life, I really need a break. My extended family is planning a gathering, but I just want a day to relax and recharge. Some of my relatives think I'm being selfish for not attending. What's your take on this? Is it okay to prioritize self-care?
